The Brief

MAXI Living are a newly founded building contractor focusing on the design and build of eco spaces. These include; garden rooms, extensions and annexes. They also work with services such as biomass boilers, underfloor heating and efficient home energy. When they came to us they had only recently started operating, setting up MAXI Living as a side business to their existing building contractors. They needed a brand developed, logo, colour schemes and full brand identity. Following that, they would require a website, business cards and a corporate brochure to give to prospective customers.

The Process

The first step was to help them paint a clear picture of the kind of brand they wanted to have, the impression it needed to give their customers and the perception they were hoping to evoke. They had a few ideas in mind but nothing too clear-cut at the outset. Following the brand being developed, the next step would be the design and build of the website, this would require a design to be put together that would follow and reflect the brand, once chosen.

After the sign off of the designs, the website could then progress into the build phase. It was at this stage that it was necessary to discuss imagery with the client, content for the website and the layout and categorisation of the range of services they offered. At the same time we designed and printed their business cards and started on the design for their corporate brochure.

Business Cards & Branding

Once branding had been settled on and the work had began on the designs for the website, we began designing the business cards for the company. These needed to carry the branding but it was important to them that they were smart, minimal and simple, whilst maintaining a professional image.

The cards were designed on two different styles, eventually the client chose both and had a set of cards printed in both. Printed on high-quality card with soft touch matt finishes they both look and feel right, they combine with the brand and the overall image of the business.

The Solution

We developed the site on a WordPress back end, this was to give the client a simple and easy CMS system to make their own changes to the website after it had gone live. The site was custom designed and built, a completely custom-made WordPress theme was developed to give them a unique site, tailored around them. They were given a blog within the site and a case studies section to allow them the freedom to update their site themselves regularly with industry related blogs and information on their work. Both of which would have a major effect on their overall Google ranking, helping them to climb higher and be found more often by more prospective customers.
