The Brief

When the directors of LineWorx first came to us they didn’t even have a company name! Coming from years of experience in the rail industry, they wanted to set up a new company specialising in developing innovative solutions to common rail network issues. Focusing on health and safety, trackside structures and access equipment, they required the full set up of the business.

They needed us to come up with names that would work for the company, as well as a corresponding domain name to match with it. They also then needed a brand, logo, website and an entire set up service for the company.

The Work

We began with a complete branding service, starting with suggesting names for the company and the domain names that could match with it. Once the name was chosen, we then began the design of the brand, colours, fonts and logos. Branding rules and final decisions were all settled on and implemented.

Following the branding being decided, it was then on to the development of business cards, marketing materials and their other branded materials such as USB sticks and pens.

The first website was constructed to follow their original brief and the focus they wanted for the business. This site was designed to be different, to look unique and to try to get the idea of innovation across via their website. After it was constructed they also needed it to include a customer log-in section for downloading their technical drawings and product specs.

Business Cards & Printed Materials

As the company was starting from ground zero they needed all of their printed materials created at the same time. This included; their business cards, headed paper, email signatures and so on. We designed the cards to follow their basic branding, using the black and red logo on white which worked nicely with a contrast of colours. In addition, we used the X, which was designed to look like a set of rail tracks disappearing into the distance, as a watermark image in the background of the card’s reverse side.

Their headed paper and email signatures followed suit and they also asked for USB sticks to be designed. We sourced a supplier for the USB sticks whilst also designing their layout and a document to be loaded onto each one.

Exhibition Show

Early into their life as a new company LineWorx secured a stand at the Rail Show held in the NEC in Birmingham. They needed the entire stand designed for them, they had a couple of props to use, small examples of their products and other materials used in their day-to-day work. We designed the entire stand backdrop, a 3x6x2 meter wall which needed to be eye catching and branded. It needed to show them off as best as possible, most importantly it needed to attract people to the stand.

Subsequently, they were also using the exhibition to present on a few subjects and needed some more portable roller banners to go with them. These were designed and printed to convey similar messages and materials to the exhibition stand, but being smaller and collapsible, so they were easier to transport and use at multiple locations.

Even More

We also worked with them quite extensively on their overall marketing, designing and on the organising, printing and construction of an exhibition stand at the Rail Show.

We developed content for them on the website, advised them on the best ways to make the most of their digital marketing and helped them with taking payments for products while on site. Due to the nature of thier business their website and systems are sat on our secure dedicated servers helping their site with improved speed and security.
