The Brief

The Fit for Fertility website is a sub-brand of Herts & Essex Fertility Centre. Focused on physical, dietary and lifestyle recommendations to help support and encourage natural conception and also to go alongside and support any fertility treatment and/or IVF.

The website needed to be similar enough to the main company website to be recognisable, but it had a new colour, different to that of the main brand to be taken into the design. The website needed to split between male and female advice as it could differ widely. It was also important that the site had a blog to help it grow organically and climb search engine rankings.

The Process

To start the process we began with an in depth discussion with the Fertility Centre to understand what the purpose of the site was, the aims it was looking to achieve and the kind of visitors it was intended for. Once we were clear on the site’s intention we could then move onto the design. Though they already had a colour scheme in place the logo itself still needed some finalising. The concept was already in place, an adaption of the main Fertility Centre logo with the Fit for Fertility branding added in.

We took the provided logo concept and adapted it to a suitable and usable point. After which we could then progress the design of the website to follow the main website concept and incorporating the slightly different brand identity and message. Once that design was agreed upon we could then move on to the build of the website. They had already produced the content for the site and had some images for use, so these could be added in at the pre-go-live stage.

The Solution

The site was developed to include a client-accessible back-end which would allow them to log in and make their own changes to the site, this also included the ability to post blogs on the site. Blogs are a vital element of SEO and are a huge help with organic Google rankings, therefore it was important to incorporate such a function into the website.

Once the site content, imagery and layout was finalised and signed off by the client, the site was ready to go live. Promoted via their social media and on their main website, along with leaflets and brochures, the Fit for Fertility website sits alongside the main Herts & Essex Fertility Centre website as an accompaniment to the main brand.
